A shawl with a feather motif. The cowl is a deep purple that fades out to fuchsia before it then blends to silver for the feather tips. There is some silver thread in the yarn giving little silver sparkles. It is pinned to a mat.

The Purple Rain Wingspan Shawl is complete. it is gorgeous and huge, washed and blocked on the mat. I even had enough yarn left over to keep the test swatch.

Yarn is Manitoulin Sparkle (Merino, cashmere, stellina blend, light fingering weight) in colorway “Purple Rain” by Blue Brick Dyeworks. Pattern is Wingspan by Kyle Vey. I almost got a full size C but ended up shimmying up the last three rowsets after doing some yarn weight maths and realizing I didn’t quite have enough to do short rows and feathertip bind-off. I am still really happy with how it turned out.

The ravelry link for the shawl is here: Ravelry: epilonious’ Purple Rain Wingspan It is my 6th completed wingspan shawl.
